WorkBC’s Find Your Fit Tour will be in Prince George at the John McInnes Centre on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, and open to the public from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“We’re expecting over 900,000 job openings in B.C. over the next 10 years, ranging from tech to trades through to health care and business,” said Melanie Mark, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Training. “The Find Your Fit tour gives students and their parents the chance to see where their skills, talents and desires can take them. Our government is working hard to open the doors to opportunity by making post-secondary education and training affordable and accessible to everyone.”

The Find Your Fit Tour stop in Prince George is a great opportunity for students to get an insider’s look at a range of careers, including the skilled trades such as carpenters, electricians and heavy-duty equipment mechanics needed in the North.

WorkBC’s Find Your Fit is a hands-on experience that allows participants to explore a range of careers. It also provides valuable information about what jobs will be in high demand by employers in the region and throughout British Columbia.

Industries such as tourism, tech and health care will need a broad range of skilled British Columbians. The Find Your Fit Tour stop in Prince George is a unique opportunity to get an insight into careers that are in demand by industries that are important to building a strong, sustainable and innovative economy for the 21st century that works for everyone.

The Find Your Fit Tour builds on the government commitment to provide British Columbians with the services they need by providing them the information to help them make decisions about education and training. The tour will make its way throughout the province in the coming months.
