Premier John Horgan has released the following statement in celebration of Vancouver Pride:

“Pride is a chance to celebrate with our friends in the LGBTQ2S community and mark the great strides toward equality made in our society. Even as we dance and march together, we must resolve to continue the fight against inequality and discrimination in all its forms.

“I’m committed to building a better British Columbia that is open and welcoming to everyone, where people can build their lives and their futures, no matter what their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

“To those marching today in the Trans March and tomorrow at the Dyke March, I share my support and respect. To those attending the Pride Parade on Sunday — I look forward to marching with you.

“Congratulations, Vancouver — and Happy Pride!”
