Premier John Horgan has released the following statement about the earthquake that struck Iran earlier this week:

“I am deeply saddened by the loss of life and injuries from the devastating earthquake that struck Iran.

“On behalf of the people of British Columbia, I wish to express my deepest sympathies to the people of Iran who have been impacted by this tragedy and to their friends and families who live in B.C. and around the world.

“Our thoughts are with the loved ones of those who lost their lives, and we hope for a swift recovery for those injured.”
