Motorists are advised that Highway 1 east of Chilliwack is now fully open, in both directions, after three mudslides closed the highway Thursday morning near Bridal Falls.
The maintenance contractor continued work this afternoon to rebuild the shoulders of the highway and remove the remainder of debris from the area in order to re-open all four lanes of the highway to traffic.
Single lane closures will be put in place as required to complete any remaining work and to monitor the operation of the culverts.
The ministry would like to thank the travelling public for their patience while this work is underway.
