Okanagan fish and game clubs, guide outfitters, avid anglers and the public are being encouraged to provide feedback on proposed regulation changes for the 2019-21 Freshwater Fishing Synopsis.
Anyone in the Okanagan, who would like to voice their input on the proposed changes, can do so in person, at the next Fishing and Hunting Advisory Committee consultation meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 9, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Riverside Conference Centre in Penticton, located at 152 Riverside Dr.
For more information on the meeting or proposed changes, and for those unable to attend in person but who wish to contribute feedback, members of the public should contact regional fisheries biologist Eric Hegerat at 250 490-8236, or email: Eric.Hegerat@gov.bc.ca
The deadline for written comments and statements on the proposed changes is July 30, 2018.
Any amended regulations will come into force on April 1, 2019.
