The Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development, in partnership with the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako, is presenting a series of information sessions about how communities and individuals can prepare for wildfires and reduce wildfire risks.
These open houses will be held in four communities in the Bulkley-Nechako region:

Topics that will be covered during these sessions include:
- a review of the 2017 wildfire season
- wildfire risk and your community
- reducing the potential impacts of a wildfire on homes and property
- sources of funding for wildfire risk-reduction projects
- emergency management planning in the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako
Bulkley-Nechako residents are invited to attend any of these open houses to get useful tools, tips and information to help them be better prepared in the event of a wildfire. Light refreshments will be provided.
