Premier John Horgan has issued the following statement in celebration of Orthodox Christmas:

“On Sunday, Jan. 7, Orthodox and Eastern Christians will gather together to celebrate the birth of their saviour, Jesus Christ.

“Christmas is a time to focus on the people we love, and offer help to those in need. It is a time of reflection and renewal of faith.

"I wish all Orthodox and Eastern Christians a Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year."
