Premier John Horgan has released the following statement in honour of Easter on Sunday, April 1, 2018:

“This weekend, British Columbians of Christian faith celebrate Easter, a time to commemorate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“It is an opportunity for reflection and celebration for Christians around the world, and is a sacred and holy time for them to practice their faith.

“Easter weekend is a time for renewal for people of all faiths. It is an opportunity to recognize the changing of the seasons and the welcome emergence of spring.

“Whether this weekend finds you at church, at the dinner table surrounded by family, or digging in the garden, fostering the renewal of your own corner of the earth, I wish all British Columbians an Easter filled with peace and celebration.”
