Premier John Horgan has issued the following statement in recognition of Thanksgiving:
“This weekend is a time for families, friends, and community to come together to give thanks and reflect on what we’re most grateful for. We are so lucky to live in this inclusive, diverse and beautiful province.
“As we gather to celebrate and share the abundance of the fall harvest, we also take the time think about people who are struggling to put food on their families' tables. For too many people in B.C., making ends meet is a daily challenge, and they don’t have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
“We believe in the potential of people in B.C. That’s why we are working to make sure everyone can build a better life for themselves and their families. Investing in people is part of building a better British Columbia – where people have the chance to get the skills they need to succeed and services they can count on.
“I'm thankful for the people of B.C., who work hard every day to make their communities stronger. Together, we’re going to keep working hard to make life better for every person, in every community.
“Happy Thanksgiving!”
