Drivers are advised to expect delays while rehabilitation work is conducted on the westbound side of the Sagebrush Overpass on Highway 1, between the Summit Drive exit and Columbia Street on-ramp in Kamloops.
Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, March 5, 2018, and is expected to take four weeks. During this time, one westbound lane on Highway 1 will be closed. While the project has been planned to minimize delays as much as possible, travellers are advised to allow extra time to get to their destination during the construction period.
The project involves replacing the bridge joints on the overpass to keep the structure in good operating condition. The project will involve pouring new concrete, so motorists may not see crews on site while the concrete is curing.
The ministry appreciates peoples’ patience while this work is taking place and encourages drivers to check DriveBC.ca for the most up-to-date highway information.
