Public consultation on proposed longer-term improvements to the Kootenay Lake ferry service is underway until March 30, 2018.
Area residents are invited to get details on the vision for the service at two upcoming open houses:

At the open houses, Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure representatives will provide details on potential improvements to the service, including proposed upgrades to the Balfour terminal. Details on upcoming operational changes necessitated by low water, as well as future vessel replacement, will be available. Public feedback is encouraged, and ministry staff will be on hand to answer any questions.
