As part of the Highway 1 Kamloops-to-Alberta four-laning program, the results of the most recent public consultation on the Highway 1 RW Bruhn Bridge Replacement Project are now available online at: www.gov.bc.ca/bchwy1-bruhn
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure hosted the project’s second open house on Feb. 1, 2018, to gather public input on options under consideration for the Trans-Canada Highway 1 RW Bruhn Bridge and Approaches Project.
Online input was received from Feb. 1-18. In total, 800 people shared their thoughts on the following two improvement options:
- One bridge option: Five-lane bridge replacement with approach improvements
- Two bridge option: Four-lane bridge replacement with new Main Street bridge and approach improvements

The ministry is considering stakeholder and public feedback, along with engineering, environmental and archeological considerations, and financial information, as government moves to select an option for bridge replacement this spring.
