Local engagement sessions for Interior Forest Sector Renewal

Staff in the Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development are holding localized, in-person engagement sessions in various communities throughout the Interior on an Interior Forest Sector Renewal discussion paper.

Representatives of communities and organizations most deeply involved and affected by the forest sector are being invited to attend, e.g., local and provincial elected officials and representatives, First Nations, and key forest sector stakeholders, industry, contractors, professionals and labour representatives. Multiple meetings may be held in one community to ensure all stakeholder groups have an opportunity for dialogue.

At the same time, members of the public are invited to provide their feedback on the discussion paper by visiting the engagement website: engage.gov.bc.ca/interiorforestrenewal
