Mabel Lake Forest Service Road (FSR) will be temporarily closed between the 14-kilometre and 16-kilometre marks, beginning Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019, and ending Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019.
Ministry staff will work on subsurface drainage and road realignment to improve public safety.
The Mabel Lake FSR is located on the east side of Mabel Lake, which is north of Lumby and south of Three Valley Gap. This road is part of B.C.’s 55,000-kilometre forest service road network that provides access to British Columbia’s backcountry.
Alternative routes to access Mabel Lake FSR include:
Access to Mabel Lake FSR (north of construction zone):
- From Enderby/Ashton Creek, take Enderby Mabel Lake Road to Three Valley-Mabel FSR, to Mabel Lake FSR
- From Highway 1, take Three Valley Mabel-Wap FSR to Mabel Lake FSR
Access to Mabel Lake FSR (south of the construction zone):
- From Lumby, take Lumby-Mabel Lake Road to Mabel Lake FSR
