B.C. communities receiving grants for housing needs reports

The following 60 communities are receiving grants to develop a housing needs report following the first intake of applications that closed May 31, 2019.

Applications for regional housing needs reports may involve a combination of municipalities and regional district electoral areas. This is reflected in some of the grants listed below.

  • Ashcroft: $15,000
  • Barriere (application includes electoral area O in the Thompson-Nicola Regional District): $17,000
  • Bowen Island: $15,000
  • Campbell River: $30,000
  • Central Coast Regional District (application includes all five electoral areas): $75,000
  • Central Kootenay Regional District (application includes Creston, Kaslo, Nakusp, Salmo and all 11 electoral areas): $150,000
  • Chilliwack: $50,000
  • Columbia-Shuswap Regional District (application includes electoral areas C and E): $33,000
  • Comox Valley Regional District (application includes Comox, Courtenay and Cumberland and all four electoral areas): $105,000
  • Cranbrook: $30,000
  • Delta: $70,000
  • Gibsons (application includes Sechelt and all five electoral areas in the Sunshine Coast Regional District): $110,000
