Premier John Horgan has issued the following statement marking Mid-Autumn Festival:
“This week marks the beginning of Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, also known as Moon Festival, where Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Filipino and Vietnamese communities throughout B.C. and around the world celebrate the harvest by gathering over food, lighting lanterns and eating mooncakes.
“During this time, we take a moment to be thankful for all we have in our lives. We also recognize how fortunate we are to live in such an inclusive, multicultural province.
“As we come together with family, friends and neighbours, we learn from each other, understand each other and make our communities stronger.
“To everyone celebrating, I wish you a happy Mid-Autumn Festival!”
