On the evening of April 5, 2019, Mountain Highway traffic will move to the new alignment and over the new Mountain Highway overpass located two kilometres north of the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge.

The Exit 21 westbound Mountain Highway off-ramp will remain operational during the transition.

This new alignment and overpass are part of the Highway 1 Lower Lynn Improvement project, which will significantly shorten commute times and improve safety for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists on the North Shore. 

Travellers are asked to follow signs and obey posted speed limits.
