Drivers are advised that there will be nightly closures of the Red Bridge for routine inspections between 7:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. beginning next week.

Currently, the planned closures are scheduled to take place between Oct. 7-11, Oct. 13-18, and Oct. 20-25. Drivers can use Highway 5 as a crossing option during Red Bridge closure periods.

These closures are required so crews can conduct a comprehensive inspection of the structure. The inspection is part of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure’s program to continually assess the condition of the bridge and keep it in good operating condition.
