The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure invites the public to an upcoming information session to discuss the Kaslo Bridge replacement project.
The intent of this project is to improve safety and reliability for people travelling along this section of Highway 31.
The existing timber bridge, which crosses the Kaslo River at the south entrance to the community, was built in 1966 and is nearing the end of its service life. The project will involve replacing it with a modern steel and concrete, two-lane structure that will enhance pedestrian and cyclist passage, as well as improve the intersection layout for both “F” Avenue and Spruce Street.
Ministry staff will be on hand to answer questions and share information about this project, which is expected to start construction in spring 2021.
The media and public are welcome to attend the drop-in open house:
Date: Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019
Time: 3 to 7 p.m.
