The public is invited to an upcoming open house to provide input on potential interim and long-term safety improvements for Highway 97 through Lake Country.
This open house, hosted by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, follows a June 2019 public workshop where initial input was gathered for the Highway 97 Lake Country Transportation Planning Study. This two-year comprehensive transportation plan will identify short-, medium- and long-term improvement options from Duck Lake to Lodge Road.
Public input will help refine the options presented. Ministry staff will be available to provide information and answer questions at the drop-in open house:
Date: Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020
Time: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Location:
Winfield Memorial Hall
10130 Bottom Wood Lake Rd.
Lake Country
Media are invited to attend the open house between 2:30 and 3 p.m. Ministry staff will be on hand to answer questions.
Open house materials will be posted on Feb. 5 for people unable to attend but who want to provide feedback: http://gov.bc.ca/highway97-lakecountryplanningstudy
