Drivers are advised that Highway 1 between Spuzzum and Cache Creek will be closed overnight in both directions on Oct. 22, from 10 p.m. until the following morning at 6 a.m.

The closure will allow crews to make repairs to the Spuzzum Bridge.

Detour signs at Cache Creek will direct westbound and southbound traffic through an alternative route to Kamloops and onto Highway 5. Traffic west and south of Cache Creek heading north will be detoured at Spences Bridge to Highway 5 via Highway 8 to Merritt.

Drivers are reminded to obey construction-zone speed limits and the direction of traffic control personnel.
