Drivers are advised that the Kispiox Bridge, approximately 15 kilometres north of Hazelton, is closed.

There are no detours available.

The bridge was damaged during a vehicle incident at approximately 9 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021. Due to the resulting damage and subsequent safety assessments, ministry staff closed the bridge to vehicle traffic.

Information about when the bridge may be partially or fully open to vehicle traffic is not available at this time.

Ministry engineers were on site through the night assessing the structure. Construction equipment is on site and maintenance contractor staff are working on repairs.

Drivers are encouraged to check DriveBC.ca for the most up-to-date information before travel and are reminded to obey posted speed limits, traffic control devices and flag persons.
