Drivers can now cross the Kispiox Bridge as construction crews have completed repairs.

The Kispiox Bridge is open to all vehicle sizes and weights.

The ministry extends its gratitude to the Kispiox Band, Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine and first responders for their efforts to ensure people who live north of the bridge, specifically in the village of Kispiox, were kept up to date and had access to emergency services.

Ministry engineers and crews worked around the clock to reopen the bridge to all traffic since Feb. 4, 2021, after the ministry closed the bridge following damage from a vehicle incident.
