Drivers are advised the Highway 1 westbound off-ramp to Lillooet Road/Mount Seymour Parkway (Exit 22B) will be closed from June 11 to July 13, 2021.
This closure is required as part of the Lower Lynn Improvement Project to facilitate utility and roadway construction work. This project is designed to shorten commute times and improve safety for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists on the North Shore.
For the Exit 22B closure, detours will be implemented to maintain highway traffic through the area. Motorists may take one of the following detours:
- Take the Highway 1 westbound off-ramp to Mountain Highway (Exit 21).
At the Mountain Highway traffic signal, make a left turn to travel southbound on Mountain Highway.
At the Mountain Highway and Keith Road traffic signal, make a left turn, travelling eastbound on Keith Road.
Continue to access Lillooet Road/Mount Seymour Parkway.
- Alternatively, take the Highway 1 westbound off-ramp to Dollarton Highway (Exit 23B).
Travel eastbound along Dollarton Highway.
At the Dollarton Highway/Riverside Drive traffic signal, make a left turn.
Continue north on Riverside Drive to the Mount Seymour Parkway intersection and continue with your direction of travel.
Pedestrian and cyclist routes in the Mount Seymour Parkway and Lillooet Road area will be unaffected by these detours.
Additionally, the reconstructed Highway 1 eastbound on-ramp west of the Keith Road Underpass will be open to the public starting Thursday, June 10. The opening of this ramp will provide drivers with a direct connection from Keith Road to Highway 1 southbound.
The new Keith Road interchange is on schedule to be completed this fall.
Travellers are asked to follow signs and obey posted speed limits.
