Lower Lynn improvements driven by safety

Overall, the Lower Lynn Improvements address safety, queueing and delays to improve travel times along Highway 1 and the Lower Lynn Interchanges.

  • Key features of the project include:
    • a new five-lane Mountain Highway and Keith Road underpasses;
    • a new Main Street overpass;
    • new Highway 1 South and North Lynn Creek bridges;
    • realignment of Mountain Highway and Keith Road;
    • reconstructed interchanges at Mountain Highway, Keith Road/Mount Seymour Parkway and Main Street/Dollarton Highway;
    • new two-lane westbound connector lanes linking Mount Seymour Parkway and Mountain Highway;
    • new illuminated pedestrian and cycling tunnels beneath Mountain Highway and the Mount Seymour Parkway westbound on-ramp;
    • relocated Keith Creek, which included habitat enhancements and water quality protection; and
    • four kilometres of new bike paths, sidewalks, trails and multi-use pathways.
