NVIT programs that will use the new mobile training units

The Heath Care Assistant program equips students with the knowledge, skills and experience to work as health-care assistants in hospitals and community health-care settings. Health-care assistants work under the guidance of other health-care professionals and focus on patient care and assisting with patient comfort.

The Access to Practical Nursing program is a bridging program that recognizes the completion of the Health Care Assistant program and related work experience. Graduates of this program can apply to write the exam to become a licensed practical nurse.

The Foundations in Innovation and Technology certificate program introduces students to a range of technology-based fields, with a focus on current opportunities in B.C. Students gain experience in the following careers: web developer, software tester, communications officer and network technician.
