Technologies, equipment eligible for the BC On-Farm Technology Adoption Program

The technologies and equipment must be new to the applicant and viable, commercialized and proven to help contribute to the profitability, productivity or efficiency of an agricultural operation, including:

  • robotic equipment, such as fruit- and vegetable-picking platforms, harvesters or weeders, manure- and barn-cleaning robots;
  • automated equipment, such as feeders, data-collection equipment, autosteer equipment, or animal-health monitoring;
  • digital sensors or smart cameras (e.g., GPS, pH, nutrient, temperature, moisture, asset monitoring, accelerometers);
  • technologies to enhance post-harvest packing and on-farm storage, such as automated sorters;
  • software to assist with farm business, financial management, mapping and herd, crop and soil management; and
  • high-precision GPS.
