The BC Coroners Service advises that the inquest into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Janet Nguyen, Christopher Duong, Alexander Duong and Harlan Duong has been further postponed due to ongoing BCGEU and PEA job action.

The inquest is scheduled to begin on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at the Burnaby Coroners’ Court (20th floor, 4720 Kingsway, Metrotower II, Metrotown, Burnaby), starting at 9:30 a.m. 

Inquests are important to families, communities and the public, and understanding during this period of disruption is appreciated.
