Drivers are advised to plan for overnight detours along Highway 1 at the 264th Street interchange as work advances on the project.
Between 11 p.m. and 4:30 a.m., starting Tuesday, Dec. 9 through Dec. 31, 2025, Highway 1 traffic in both directions will be detoured through the 264th Street interchange’s on and off ramps. A total of 10 overnight closures are anticipated to occur within this timeframe, weather permitting. There will be no detours on the nights of Dec. 24-28.
This traffic-pattern change is necessary to allow the Ministry of Transportation and Transit’s contractor to install girders over Highway 1 as part of bridge construction at the 264th Street interchange.
These closures are in addition to regular, ongoing overnight lane closures that are needed for the continued safe construction of the 264th Street interchange, advancing the widening of Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley.
Drivers are reminded to slow down and follow posted signs. For the most current information, visit: https://www.drivebc.ca/
