The BC Public Service Agency has reached a tentative agreement with the Professional Employees Association (PEA).
The tentative agreement is based on the 2025 Balanced Measures Mandate and includes some additional funding to address delivery of critical services along with improvements to working conditions.
Further details about the tentative agreement will be available following the ratification process that will soon be underway.
The PEA represents roughly 1,900 people working as foresters, engineers, agrologists, geoscientists, psychologists and others across B.C., as well as legal counsel.
Negotiations under the 2025 Balanced Measures Mandate support government’s key priorities to protect and strengthen critical services in B.C.’s public sector, to maintain labour stability in a complex round of bargaining and to support the Province’s efforts to find operational efficiencies that preserve front-line services.
