VICTORIA - With the Vancouver Canucks advancing to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, the telephone town halls planned for April 28 in the Kootenay region and part of the Lower Mainland will be re-scheduled, Minister of Finance Kevin Falcon and Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Blair Lekstrom announced today.

Tele-town halls had been planned for April 28 at 6:30 p.m. (7:30 p.m. MDT) in the Kootenay area and 7:15 p.m. in the Richmond/South Delta/North Shore area.

New dates will be announced as soon as possible.

Hosted by ministers Falcon and Lekstrom, tele-town halls are a unique opportunity to talk directly with the government ministers leading the HST engagement process. The town halls are designed to ensure that all British Columbians have an opportunity to offer suggestions on how the HST can be improved.

Go Canucks go!
