Dear Mrs. Yuen,

I would like to take a moment to offer my condolences to the people of Hong Kong and to all those affected by the tragic ferry collision off the Coast of Lamma Island that claimed the lives of so many this past October 1st.

I was saddened to learn of this horrific tragedy on what was to be joyous occasion for the people of Hong Kong celebrating the National Day of the People's Republic of China.

The people of British Columbia mourn with the families and friends of those who lost their lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve and recover from such a traumatic ordeal.

I offer my deepest condolences to you, the people of Hong Kong, and especially those personally affected, for your loss.
