Angela Hance believes it’s important to stay connected to her community, the Tsilhqot'in Nation. As a University of Northern B.C. (UNBC) student enrolled in the Tsilhqot'in Language Program, she appreciates the opportunity the university is giving her to learn her culture and language in her home community. With the help of Elders and other community members, it’s Angela’s goal to teach children her language and culture.
The Aboriginal Community-Based Training Partnership Program has been instrumental in enabling UNBC to provide education for Aboriginal students in their communities.
