Education Minister Mike Bernier joined over 2,000 students along with school staff, special guests and families as they came together at the Q Arena in Colwood to sing and share music to celebrate Music Monday. He also presented a proclamation to students and Sooke School District Staff at the event.

Music Monday is comprised of a series of school and community-based performances taking place across Canada. This is an annual event organized by the Coalition for Music Education in Canada, with regional cooperation from the Coalition for Music Education in British Columbia.
