Coralee Oakes, Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development, got the ball rolling as a lead-up to the announcement that the World Rugby Sevens Series - one of the most thrilling sporting championships - is coming to Vancouver in March 2016.
The Canada Sevens will be a two-day indoor tournament hosted at the world-class BC Place Stadium, host venue to Canada’s most prestigious events, and will feature16 of the world’s top men’s rugby sevens teams.

The province is also hosting the inaugural World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series tournament in Langford this April.
