Housing, child care spaces help women, children leaving violence

People in Burnaby experiencing or at risk of homelessness will have a path off the street if a new proposal for approximately 50 supportive and complex-care homes is approved.

Seniors in Burnaby are moving into 155 new affordable rental homes with the opening of Dania Gardens, a new six-storey housing building offering a vibrant community for seniors to thrive.

Families and seniors in Burnaby will soon benefit from 161 new affordable homes and 74 child care spaces as construction starts on a new development in the community.

Community gaming grants will help not-for-profit organizations in the mainland and southwestern region deliver programs so people can stay healthy, active and connected.

Construction is underway on two single-family homes that will provide housing for 14 people, including seniors, who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness and would benefit from an enhanced mental-health and physical health-care program.
