The BC Coroners Service has rescheduled a public inquest into the death of Corey John Scherbey, beginning on Nov. 2, 2020, at 9:30 a.m., at the Burnaby Coroners' Court (20th floor, 4720 Kingsway, Metrotower II, Metrotown, Burnaby).

Families in Burnaby will benefit from 75 new licensed child care spaces as part of an innovative partnership that will provide culturally inclusive, affordable housing and child care in one location – one of the first purpose-built projects of this kind.

Indigenous students will have a home away from home and the university community will have a ceremonial space in which to celebrate Indigenous knowledge and culture when a new First Peoples’ Gathering House opens on Simon Fraser University’s (SFU)  Burnaby campus in 2023. 

Resurfacing work will get underway on Sunday, May 31, 2020, on Highway 1 between the Willingdon Avenue interchange and the Gaglardi Way interchange, making this route a safer and smoother ride for all motorists.
