Indigenous communities, local governments and landowners can now identify specific orphan and inactive well sites for priority reclamation as part of the Province’s efforts to clean up wells in B.C. and create jobs for workers in oil and gas service companies.

Residents of Fort St. John can look forward to a new multi-use pathway that will improve safety and accessibility for cyclists, pedestrians and all active commuters.

Construction has officially started on the new $26.6-million Margaret “Ma” Murray Community school, benefiting Fort St. John students, teachers and the community for years to come.

Students, teachers and staff at North Peace Secondary school in the Peace River North school district will benefit from $656,800 in provincial School Enhancement Program funding.          

Families in the Peace River North school district will no longer pay fees for students riding school buses within their schools’ catchment areas thanks to $425,785 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.
