Students, teachers and staff at six schools in the Rocky Mountain school district will benefit from $240,000 in provincial School Enhancement Program funding.

Nearly 14 kilometres of Highway 93/95 are now resurfaced, as well as 4.5 kilometres of side roads in the Canal Flats area, south of Columbia Lake in the East Kootenay.

Families in the Rocky Mountain school district will benefit from improved transportation services, thanks to $369,399 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

As British Columbia experiences some of its strongest tourism growth in years, Invermere is receiving $164,450 from the Province’s Resort Municipality Initiative (RMI) to support its tourism industry.

Invermere will receive a total of $85,988 for projects that help support tourism infrastructure and amenities.
