More than 1,100 former youth in care are now building themselves a better future with post-secondary education through the Province’s tuition waiver program.

The world is changing and B.C. students need to be ready to adapt to the careers of tomorrow. Students in the Mission School District will be prepared thanks to $22,500 in provincial funding awarded to the district, helping to connect kids with opportunities in skilled trades and tech training. 

Students, teachers and staff at Windebank Elementary school in the Mission school district will benefit from $375,000 in provincial School Enhancement Program funding.

Families in the Mission school district will benefit from improved transportation services, thanks to $188,900 in funding under the new provincial Student Transportation Fund.

Dewdney Slough Bridge, located 8 km east of Mission on Highway 7, reopened to single lane alternating traffic at 5 a.m. today in time for commuter and school bus traffic.
