The BC Wildfire Service will take a “modified response” approach to the northern flank of the Eagle Bluff wildfire, now that all appropriate planned ignitions to slow the spread of the fire have been completed.

The BC Wildfire Service is preparing to conduct planned ignition operations on the Eagle Bluff wildfire to help gain containment on its northern perimeter.

The BC Wildfire Service has implemented an area restriction order for Crown land in the vicinity of the Eagle Bluff wildfire in order to protect public safety and ensure the safety of firefighting personnel. This area restriction is effective as of noon on Aug.13, 2019.

Under the BC Rural Dividend, the Province is providing $313,180 in grants to five communities in Boundary-Similkameen, MLA Linda Larson announced.

Okanagan Valley residents are invited to attend an open house in Osoyoos on March 11 or in Oliver on March 12 to discuss the impacts of off-road vehicles on sensitive ecosystems on Oliver Mountain and the Osoyoos West Bench.
