The BC Coroners Service has scheduled a public inquest into the death of Joceyln Nynah Marsha George beginning at 9:30 a.m. on July 6, 2020, at the Port Alberni Courthouse, located at 2999 Fourth Ave.

Highway 4 at Kennedy Hill is now open to single-lane alternating traffic, allowing commercial vehicles, RVs and other larger vehicles to travel through the corridor.

Highway 4 at Kennedy Hill will close at 8 p.m. today, Jan. 24, for overnight foundation work in preparation for weekend bridge installation.
