The Government of B.C. has begun work on two projects totalling $700,000 to improve safety and access for motorists along Highway 97 through Prince George.

Work to resurface Highway 97 between Whiskers Point and Mackenzie Junction is now complete,

Effective at noon on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, Category 2 open fires will be prohibited throughout the Prince George Fire Centre to help prevent human-caused wildfires and protect public safety.

Safety improvements are well underway for the intersection of Vance/Cowart roads and Highway 16 in Prince George, as well as the intersection of Ferry Avenue and Highway 16. Both intersections are west of Highway 97.
