People living in Surrey and surrounding communities will soon have improved access to cancer care with the addition of a regional cancer centre at the second Surrey hospital.

Work will begin this month on a new commercial truck parking facility in North Surrey, providing another safe, convenient place in the Lower Mainland for commercial truck drivers to pull over and rest.

Families in Surrey and Delta will have access to 508 new licensed child care spaces as part of the Province’s ongoing commitment to increase child care through the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.  

As parents return to work, the Province is making affordable, quality child care more accessible for families in Surrey and Coquitlam by investing in five projects that will create 217 new licensed spaces.  

Former youth in care Jessy Neal took part in the creation of the first BC Child and Youth in Care Week (BCCYICW) in 2010. A decade later, she is still working to change the way we view people who have spent time in foster care.

People living in Surrey will now have better access to same-day urgent and primary care with the opening of a second new urgent and primary care centre (UPCC) in Newton.
