The arrival of a significant storm to the south coast of British Columbia is a reminder to drivers that weather conditions can change quickly at this time of year, and to be prepared for the onset of winter road conditions.

People using West 16th Avenue near the University of British Columbia (UBC) are advised of a full closure of the road beginning Sunday morning, Sept. 15, 2024, to accommodate a film production.

On Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, people travelling between the Lower Mainland and Whistler can expect possible delays and closures from 5:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for the RBC GranFondo Whistler cycling event.

Drivers are advised of overnight lane closures on the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Crossing from Sunday, Aug. 25 until overnight Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024.
