British Columbia’s natural gas sector continues to show signs of growth buoyed by increased investment in infrastructure and a concerted effort to reach markets across Canada, specifically along the Canadian Mainline.

The B.C. government is providing more than $1 million in grants to six Habitat for Humanity B.C. affiliates that will be used to build new affordable homes in Campbell River, Mission, Nanaimo, Richmond, Sechelt and Vernon.

The British Columbia government is providing approximately $4.5 million to keep three temporary shelters open in Greater Victoria.

On March 28, the Deputy Premier and the Minister Responsible for Housing, Rich Coleman, released documents that show there has been extensive work done to secure new and innovative housing at New Jubilee House and also at 292 East Hastings Street developments.
