Improved cellular service is coming to B.C. highways 95 and 97 as record investments from the Connecting British Columbia program continue to benefit people throughout the province.

Thanks to federal and provincial investments, Highway 16 from Prince Rupert to Prince George will soon have cellular coverage along the entire route, fulfilling a critical recommendation to make the highway safer.

Locals and travellers will soon be able to enjoy the benefits of cellular service along a large stretch of Vancouver Island’s Highway 14.

A wave of connectivity investments this year will bring improved internet performance and reliability to people living in many of B.C.’s coastal communities.

People in rural and Indigenous communities throughout B.C. will benefit from record investments in connectivity projects to improve high-speed internet and expand cellular access along provincial highways.

As part of government’s commitment to improving services for British Columbians, contact centre support for Health Insurance BC (HIBC) benefits and pharmaceutical programs and services is now provided at the Service BC provincial contact centre.

People can now make an appointment online before visiting Service BC.
