Communities across British Columbia will be receiving record investments in critical projects to reduce pollution, increase health and expand opportunities in response to a changing climate.

Non-profits are receiving more than $11 million from B.C.’s Community Gaming Grants to boost conservation and public safety programs that will benefit British Columbians around the province. 

The Province will be appointing three new members to the independent Climate Solutions Council to provide advice to government on meeting B.C.’s climate and clean economy goals through CleanBC programs and actions.

The Province is accepting applications from local governments, First Nations, Indigenous organizations, not-for-profit and for-profit organizations throughout British Columbia for investments in clean-energy projects.

The Province is looking for public input to help develop a new strategy that will better prepare B.C. communities for the impacts of climate change.

George Heyman, Minister of Environment and Climate Change Strategy, and Selina Robinson, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, have decided to issue an environmental assessment certificate to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure for the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project.

People in communities throughout British Columbia can look forward to improved environmental infrastructure, thanks to a $243-million partnership between the federal and provincial governments.
