B.C. is expanding employment services provided by WorkBC centres to offer more choice and tailored support to meet people's individual needs, helping more B.C. job seekers get jobs.

People receiving provincial income assistance in British Columbia who are also eligible to receive the new federal Canada Disability Benefit will keep the entire benefit, thanks to a B.C. exemption.

The Province is taking the necessary steps to ensure people continue to receive provincial disability and income assistance in the event of a labour dispute at Canada Post.

Deafblind people in B.C. will continue to receive vital intervener services thanks to more than $654,000 in additional funding to support the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) Deafblind Community Services and the Wavefront Centre for Communication Accessibility.

The Province is working to ensure that people receive the support they need, regardless of challenges presented by the labour dispute at Canada Post.
