A new workforce initiative will support British Columbia’s agriculture and food industry in recruiting and retaining the workers who will help provide a stable food supply for a growing population in B.C. and around the world.

Commercial food hub operators can now join farmers, fishers, processors and sector organizations in receiving traceability system funding to support food safety, streamlined operations and increased sales opportunities.

The British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) has reached a tentative agreement with members of the BCIT Faculty & Staff Association (BCIT FSA) under the Province’s Shared Recovery Mandate.
